Summer Library Program

SLP Program

Summer is a great time to learn about or explore new interests! To encourage our patrons to keep learning over the summer, LBPD joins with other MD Libraries to promote the Collaborative Summer Library Program. The library has provided a curated list of books, activities, and links to match the theme, Tails & Tales.  Of course, patrons are encouraged to read anything they like - and to track their progress for their chance at great prizes and digital badges.

The 2021 Summer Learning Program theme is Tails & Tales. This year, dive into your imagination while you explore various genres like:

      • Modern Folktales/Literary Folktales
      • Ocean Life and Animals
      • Ocean Adventures
      • Animal Adventures
      • Animal Life
      • Literary Stories
      • And more...

Let your imagination be your guide!

PS - Don't be hemmed in! Read what you like!

Track your reading and activities for Prizes/Badges:

The library uses BeanStack to help patrons track their summer reading and activities. The goal for this year for all summer reading participants to reach a combined 100,000 minutes read. Each patron will have a chance to reach individual milestones, which will allow them a chance to earn prizes and digital badges.
